Earlier this month I photographed the Dreger wedding. It was a beautiful sunset evening out in the streets of Moose Jaw. Along with their son we headed out from Grant Hall to capture the newly married couple at various spots we could reach by foot. The couple hired me to capture formal portraits and a few candid moments between the ceremony and the reception.
During our pre-consult meeting prior to the wedding day, the Dregers decided they wanted to be photographed in and around the streets. They wanted an urban feel to the locations around them, and to have it recognizable as the town of Moose Jaw. Often my clients request to be photographed amongst recognizable locations where they live. My challenge is to find great locations and feature them, without taking the emphasis away from the subjects themselves.
It was great getting to know this family a little bit, and capturing their excitement on this special day. We managed to have a few laughs and their son even got to play the drums a bit. All this in less than two hours! Not a bad way to spend part of your day.
