Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of photographing my first wedding. Tanis and Kevin are not only a beautiful couple, but also incredibly kind. They had seen my portraits through a mutual friend and insisted, against my hesitations, that I would be the right photographer for their big day. I’m so glad I agreed. I learned so much that day and discovered my heightened respect for wedding photographers. And to take on this new project alongside such a calm and easy-going couple made my job so much easier.
Tanis and Kevin chose to host their celebration at Canoe Restaurant (the 54th floor of the TD Bank Tower in downtown Toronto). Alongside their family and the restaurant staff, they designed a beautifully elegant evening amongst the backdrop of the Toronto skyline. Did I mention this building was designed by world famous architect Mies van der Rohe? – Stunning. Good times were had by all – how couldn’t you with such great food, drinks, music, and a lovely couple.
Congratulations to Tanis & Kevin, and their families.
