Andy Hamilton Photography
When people ask me what I do, I tell them I’m a photographic storyteller with a focus on crafting authenticity.
My specialty is in portrait photography, commercial photography, and editorial photography, and I serve clients throughout the Saskatchewan area, including Regina, Saskatoon, and Moose Jaw.
The first chapter of my story began in film school in Toronto in the late 1990s. I cut my teeth in the business as a production assistant, then evolved to directing and filming commercial auditions. After that, I worked as a television editor with the Bravo Channel for five years before deciding to make the leap to full entrepreneurship in 2010.
Uncovering Realness.
Film school provided me with the discipline and breadth of experiences I needed to shape my voice as a visual storyteller. Over the last decade, I have used that background to curate my photographic style by elevating the individuality of my clients to tell a very singular story.
For me, a great shot goes beyond technique. It’s the result of a cultivated connection between myself and my subject. I believe everyone has a story to tell. My goal is to pay tribute to it in the telling, and so my visual style serves those who are looking for something pure, real, and compelling.
A New Way of Seeing.
My approach is simple. I remove what’s unnecessary to reveal the authenticity of the imperfect. Then, I enhance it, only slightly, without forcing anything forward that might sacrifice what’s most pure. In this way, I capture what is most authentic about YOU. When everything comes together, it transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
This allows us to tell the most authentic story together, whether that story takes the form of a corporate headshot, a portrait, a group shot, or a campaign.
I look forward to telling yours.
